Position Summary The Overnight Shift Manager oversees restaurant operations during overnight hours, ensuring smooth workflow, strong team performance, and consistent delivery of McDonald’s standards in quality, service, cleanliness, and safety. This role leads the crew, maintains a safe and sanitary setting, and ensures the restaurant is ready for the next day’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise the overnight team, providing direction, coaching, and motivation throughout the shift
- Run the shift effectively by planning labor, monitoring performance, and adjusting to meet guest demand
- Maintain McDonald’s food safety, workplace safety, and sanitation standards at all times
- Ensure the restaurant remains clean, organized, and secure, including dining room, kitchen, equipment, and storage areas
- Handle guest concerns professionally, ensuring a positive customer experience
- Manage shift operations, including inventory checks, cash handling, and completion of required documentation




- Communicate with the next Shift Manager to ensure smooth handoff and continuity of operations
- Support sales and profitability goals by maintaining standards and driving efficient operations

Qualifications & Experience

- Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience in quick‑service, retail, or similar environments (McDonald’s experience is an asset)
- Ability to lead by example, hold others accountable, and maintain high standards
- Strong problem‑solving skills, especially under pressure
- Clear, positive, and confident communication skills
- Comfortable working overnight shifts
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and maintain a fast pace
- Reliability, professionalism, and strong work ethic
