Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, take food and beverage orders accurately, and serve with enthusiasm to enhance guest satisfaction
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry, billing, and cash handling with precision and efficiency
- Prepare and serve drinks responsibly, adhering to food safety standards and responsible alcohol service policies
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously while maintaining a clean, organized workspace
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities while providing detailed descriptions of specials or new offerings
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments swiftly,
and give correct change using basic math skills
- Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning work areas, utensils, glassware, and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation protocols, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in serving or bartending roles that involve food preparation or kitchen tasks is a plus
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while prioritizing guest needs
- Basic math proficiency for cashiering duties including cash handling and bill splitting
