We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team in a part-time or full time capacity. The ideal candidate will support pharmacy operations, assist with medication management, and provide excellent patient care. Prior experience in hospital settings or pharmacy technician roles is highly valued, along with strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage inventory, stock shelves, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness in accordance with medical orders
- Maintain detailed records of medication transactions and patient interactions
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing,
and documentation updates
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, health regulations, and confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth pharmacy operations
Requirements
- Previous hospital experience or pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration processes
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
- Experience in billing and fillware paperless is required
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Certification or training in pharmacy assistance or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory
- Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to patient safety
