We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Produce/Grocery Clerk to join our retail team. Responsibilities

- Stock shelves with fresh produce and grocery items, ensuring products are properly labeled and organized for easy customer access.
- Monitor inventory levels regularly and communicate with management to reorder stock as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the produce and grocery areas, including cleaning displays, floors, and equipment.
- Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about store offerings, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Operate cash registers efficiently while processing transactions accurately and handling customer payments securely.




- Ensure proper handling of produce by following safety guidelines to prevent spoilage or contamination.
- Use pallet jack when necessary for moving heavy or bulk items safely and efficiently.
- Support merchandising efforts by creating attractive displays that promote sales and seasonal promotions.

Skills

- Proven experience in retail sales or grocery store environments with a focus on customer service.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer populations effectively.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to enhance product presentation and sales.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and maintain sanitation standards consistently.
- Experience with cashiering systems for processing transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus for handling large or heavy stock items safely.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stock levels, product rotation, and store cleanliness efficiently.
