Job Overview

This position is responsible for creating and facilitating programs, coordinating program data, and supporting volunteer efforts. The role also includes overseeing meal services and helping manage community events.

The Program Coordinator is key to promoting mental wellness in the community by gathering and analyzing program data to identify mental health trends and community needs. The position also ensures that the Hub remains a welcoming and inclusive space for both program participants and community partners. Additionally, this role contributes to the planning and coordination of events to increase the Hub's visibility and community outreach.

Duties

- Take a lead on the planning, coordination and delivery of programs and events, ensuring they are aligned with the mission of the Evangeline Mental Wellness Hub.
- Offer organizational support by welcoming and assisting participants, maintaining the program area, and updating outdoor signage to reflect current programs.
- Participate in the daily operations of the breakfast and lunch programs, ensuring a smooth, timely and safe meal delivery.




- Coordinate and plan community events and meals hosted by the Hub, ensuring each event is well-organized, effectively promoted, and executed smoothly.
- Collect and manage participant data to ensure accurate records for funding reporting and program evaluation.
- Recruit, train and schedule volunteers for various programs and services offered by the Hub. Provide regular communication, engagement and ongoing training to ensure food preparation meets health and safety standards.

Experience

- Solid organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in volunteer coordination and program support is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, community-focused environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to maintaining an inclusive, welcoming environment for all members of the community.

Pay: $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 per week
