Contract Duration: 18 Months

Location: Toronto, ON

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite per Week

Rate: $60–$72/hour (Incorporated)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager, HR AI Projects & Technology Enhancements to lead the delivery of artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and technology improvement initiatives within a corporate HR technology environment.

The successful candidate will manage projects from initiation through implementation, translating business requirements into actionable deliverables while coordinating cross-functional teams across Human Resources, Technology, AI, Data, and Operations.

This role requires a solid combination of project management, business requirements analysis, Agile delivery, and stakeholder management, with experience delivering AI, automation, or enterprise technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

- Lead end-to-end delivery of HR AI, automation, data, and technology enhancement projects.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, resources, dependencies, risks, and issues.

- Monitor project progress, manage scope changes, and ensure successful delivery within established timelines and quality standards.

- Identify project risks and blockers, implement mitigation strategies, and escalate critical issues when necessary.

- Coordinate project implementation, testing, deployment, and transition to operational teams.

Business Requirements & Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with HR stakeholders, business leaders, technical teams, and external technology partners to gather and document requirements.

- Translate business needs into functional requirements,



user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized deliverables.

- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, project reviews, and decision-making sessions.

- Maintain clear communication across business and technology teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.

- Prepare and present regular project status reports covering progress, milestones, risks, issues, and key decisions.

Agile Delivery & Technology Coordination

- Support Agile project delivery, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

- Use Azure DevOps to manage project backlogs, user stories, work items, dependencies, and delivery progress.

- Coordinate with AI, data, development, and technology teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented effectively.

- Maintain accurate project documentation, including requirements, project plans, decisions, risks, and delivery outcomes.

- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), implementation readiness, change management, and technology adoption.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience managing technology projects involving Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, data analytics, or enterprise technology solutions.

- Strong end-to-end project management experience, including planning, execution, requirements gathering, risk management, and implementation.

- Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, document,



and prioritize business and functional requirements.

- Hands-on experience working in Agile delivery environments with cross-functional business and technology teams.

- Experience using Azure DevOps or similar project management platforms for backlog management, user stories, and project tracking.

- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve challenges, and deliver projects independently.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience delivering projects within Human Resources, HR Technology, or HR Operations.

- Experience with AI-driven HR solutions, process automation, or HR technology enhancements.

- Familiarity with Workday or other enterprise Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms.

- Understanding of HR business processes, including recruitment, talent management, learning and development, employee experience, and workforce planning.

- Experience supporting UAT, change management, technology implementation, and operational transition.

- Experience working in a large enterprise or complex corporate technology environment.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Project Manager with strong experience delivering AI, automation, and technology initiatives. They are comfortable working with both business and technical stakeholders, translating complex requirements into structured project plans, and driving successful implementation.

Experience in HR technology environments, particularly with Workday or AI-enabled HR solutions, would be a strong advantage.
