Qualifications/Experience:

Completion of 3rd year of university studies.

Ability to read CURSIVE and the ability to decode abbreviations and codified information.

Affinity with microfiche and digital documents.

The ability to work with extreme precision: high attention to details as the language of the log books must be reproduced with absolute precision .

Accountability: the ability to reach out and ask for assistance if problems in the translation arise.

Keeping a log of activities and completed hours of work, and ability to navigate and entering the hours into the payroll platform “Workforce”

Ability to self-manage and work independently.

Key Duties:

The Research Assistant will provide support to Dr.



Petrella and the Anisinew Okimawin Tribal Council of Island lake on a project of historical recovery. The duties entail the transcription of cursive log books into digitized files, using the program

Excel.
