AIRA Life & Fitness is looking for a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) to join our growing multidisciplinary team in Halifax.

This is a contracted position with the flexibility to determine your own schedule. We are looking for an RMT who values client-focused care and would enjoy working within a boutique fitness and wellness environment alongside Kinesiology Personal Trainers, Registered Counselling Therapy, and Group Fitness.

AIRA Life & Fitness is a boutique fitness facility focused on providing a welcoming, professional and client-centred experience. Our multidisciplinary expansion allows us to bring fitness, massage therapy, counselling therapy and group fitness together in one location.

The Massage Therapy clinic is located directly next to AIRA Life & Fitness, providing an opportunity for collaboration between services while maintaining a comfortable and professional treatment environment.

Our team currently includes five Kinesiology Personal Trainers, creating an excellent opportunity for an RMT who enjoys working collaboratively. With client consent, our practitioners can communicate and work together to provide more comprehensive care and a better overall client experience.

The Chance

We are looking for an RMT who is professional, motivated and comfortable managing the day-to-day responsibilities of their practice within a contracted arrangement.

The successful candidate would be responsible for maintaining appropriate client records and documentation, processing client checkouts, and managing their treatment schedule.

There is an existing demand for Massage Therapy within our facility and surrounding community, with clientele available for the incoming therapist. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a Registered Massage Therapist in good standing who places a strong emphasis on client care and professionalism.

An interest or background in fitness, strength training, movement or rehabilitation would be a strong asset, as many AIRA clients are active and already work with our Kinesiology team.

Experience or additional knowledge in any of the following would also be considered an asset:

- Deep tissue massage techniques
- Myofascial/fascial techniques
- Mobility and recovery strategies




- Foam rolling and lacrosse ball/self-myofascial release techniques
- Working collaboratively with Kinesiologists, trainers or other healthcare/wellness professionals
- Social media, content creation or marketing

Requirements

- Valid registration as a Massage Therapist with the appropriate licensing body in your region
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to health and wellness treatments
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Effective communication skills to clearly explain procedures and listen attentively to client needs
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented attitude
- Prior experience in providing massage therapy services is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for new graduates
- Must adhere to all health regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information
