Duties
- Deliver high-quality massage therapy treatments tailored to each client’s individual needs, utilizing various techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or therapeutic massage.
- Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health concerns, medical history, and treatment preferences.
- Maintain clear communication with clients before, during, and after sessions to ensure comfort and address any questions or concerns.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to licensing regulations to ensure a safe and professional environment.
- Keep detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any recommendations for ongoing care.
- Educate clients on self-care practices and lifestyle adjustments that support their wellness goals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
Experience
- Certification as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) from an accredited program and valid licensing in the applicable region.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology relevant to health assessments and treatment planning.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive, welcoming atmosphere for clients.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively explain treatment procedures and listen attentively to client needs.
- Prior experience in a clinical or spa setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is highly valued.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times.
