The Role

As an RVT at Parkdale, you’ll be an important part of patient care, client education, and the day-to-day running of the hospital. We want you to use your skills, share your knowledge, and have a voice in how we do things.

Your responsibilities will include

- Assisting with examinations, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, and patient recovery.
- Conducting dedicated RVT appointments,



including annual wellness examinations, nutritional consultations, hospice and palliative care, and other services within the RVT scope of practice.
- Providing skilled nursing care and advocating for patient comfort and safety.
- Educating clients and helping them understand their pets’ healthcare needs.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and following established clinical protocols.
- Working collaboratively with veterinarians and the rest of the team.
- Contributing to a safe, organized workplace and identifying opportunities to improve how we work.

The Logistics Position: Full-time, permanent RVT

Location: Parkdale Animal Hospital, Waterloo, Ontario

Requirements: RVT registered in valuable standing with the OAVT; veterinary technician experience preferred.
