a Retail Coordinator for our North York Head Office Salary Range 50000 55000 The Retail Coordinator is a national support role within Canlan Sports Retail Division Reporting to the Director of Retail this position supports both Food and Beverage and Sport Shop operations across multiple locations The successful candidate must have previous restaurant experience along with knowledge of food and beverage operations inventory management purchasing customer service and retail operations Restaurant or food and beverage management experience is considered a robust asset Key Responsibilities Restaurant Food and Beverage and Retail Operations Support restaurant Food and Beverage and Sport Shop operations across Canlan facilitiesEnsure compliance with approved pricing inventory standards and established operating proceduresMaintain approved par levels for each restaurant and retail storeMonitor inventory levels and ensure appropriate stock availability while maintaining inventory targets and minimizing excess stockAssist the Director of Retail with annual purchasing and booking ordersSupport inventory controls purchasing processes and stock management for both Food and Beverage and Sport Shop operationsAssist with menu design printing allocations promotions and customer engagement initiativesSupport sales growth customer service improvements and consistent merchandising standards across locationsAssist with purchasing apparel prizes uniforms restaurant supplies and retail inventoryTraining and Development Assist in training Food and Beverage Managers Restaurant Managers and Sport Shop SupervisorsDevelop and update standard operating procedures SOPs training materials and on the job training resourcesProvide training and support for restaurant operations customer service sales and merchandisingSupport skate sharpening training where requiredTrain new and existing managers on Shift4 POS and Yellow Dog inventory management systemsAssist with retail hiring onboarding and ongoing employee developmentSystems Reporting and Compliance Enter and maintain SKU information in Shift4 and Yellow Dog systemsAct as the Yellow Dog project lead and subject matter expertProvide POS troubleshooting and technical supportReview Secret Shopper and Steritech reports and coordinate follow up actions with the Director of RetailAssist with annual OSV activities as requiredWork with Facilities on the implementation of Shift4 enhancementsMaintain consistent inventory operational and service standards across all locationsBusiness Support and Performance Work closely with the Director of Retail to support facility operations and improve sales profitability purchasing practices inventory turnover and operating standardsProvide guidance and operational support to Restaurant Managers Food and Beverage Managers and Sport Shop SupervisorsSupport each facility in achieving its Annual Operating PlanHelp protect the Canlan brand by ensuring consistent service quality operational efficiency and customer satisfactionQualifications Experience and Education A college or trade school certificate or university degree in Hospitality Management Restaurant Management Retail Management or a related field is preferredMandatory Previous restaurant experience is required Candidates without restaurant experience will not be consideredExperience in Food and Beverage operations including restaurant inventory purchasing customer service and daily operationsFood and Beverage or Restaurant Management experience is a strong assetRetail management experience is preferredOne to two years of experience in retail restaurant operations or Food and Beverage preferably within a regional or national franchise chainStrong understanding of inventory management stock control purchasing and POS systemsExperience with Shift4 POS Yellow Dog or similar inventory management systems is an assetStrong customer service sales communication and business development skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesSelf motivated professional adaptable and able to work independently and collaborativelyA
