Responsibilities

- Prepare and fillet fresh fish and seafood with precision, adhering to all food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
- Assist customers by providing knowledgeable recommendations, answering questions about different seafood options, and offering cooking tips.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fish counter, including proper packaging of products for sale.
- Ensure all seafood products are stored at appropriate temperatures and rotated regularly to guarantee freshness.
- Support the team with food preparation tasks such as cleaning, portioning, and display setup to create an appealing presentation.




- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling, meat cutting, and sanitation procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily sales goals and ensure smooth operation of the fish counter.

Skills

- Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in food preparation or fishmongery.
- Strong knowledge of butchery techniques, meat cutting, and seafood handling.
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with shoppers.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and packaging requirements.
- Kitchen experience that demonstrates comfort working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items safely, and work efficiently under pressure.
