The Sales
Associate will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, assisting customers with their needs, and driving sales through effective upselling and merchandising strategies.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs, offering product demos when appropriate
- Conduct technical sales by explaining product features and benefits clearly and confidently
- Perform merchandising duties to ensure attractive product displays and organized shelves
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, sales processing, and returns
- Support with adding inventory via Shopify
- Manage cashiering duties including processing transactions efficiently and handling cash with integrity
- Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions,
store policies, and product inventory levels
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor at all times
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism using proper phone etiquette
- Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks during busy periods and ensure smooth store operations
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Previous experience in retail sales, merchandise management, or technical sales preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, Shopify, cash handling, and basic math skills necessary for transactions
- Ability to demonstrate products effectively through demos or explanations and understand sizing and key traits between clothing manufacturers
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and time management capabilities
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a quick-paced environment
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and upselling strategies is advantageous
