Site Security Guard

Location: Innsifil, Ontario

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, alert, and responsible Security Guard to monitor a construction site and help prevent trespassing, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.

The ideal candidate must have their own reliable vehicle, be available to work weekends, and have some weekday evening availability. The successful candidate will remain vigilant throughout their shift, monitor site activity, and respond appropriately to security concerns.

Key Responsibilities

- Prevent Unauthorized Access: Monitor the construction site and ensure that unauthorized individuals do not enter the property.
- Prevent Theft and Vandalism: Remain alert for suspicious activity, missing equipment, material theft, and potential property damage.
- Site Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols of the construction site, perimeter, access points, and storage areas.
- Maintain Vigilance: Stay attentive throughout the shift and promptly identify and report potential security risks.
- Incident Response: Contact police, fire services, ambulance services, or other emergency responders when necessary.
- Incident Reporting: Record suspicious activity, security breaches, incidents, and actions taken.
- Access Monitoring: Observe site entrances and exits and verify authorization to enter when required.




- Professional Conduct: Follow site security procedures and communicate professionally with contractors, workers, management, and emergency personnel.

Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle to travel to the construction site.
- Must be available for daytime shifts on weekends.
- Must have some availability on weekdays.
- Robust observation skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to recognize suspicious activity and respond calmly and appropriately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to prepare basic incident reports.
- Previous construction site security experience is an asset.
