We are seeking a dedicated and professional Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our agile dental team on Saturdays! The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of dental hygiene practices. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional oral health services in a welcoming environment, supporting patients of all ages with their dental needs.
The position emphasizes teamwork, patient education, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene. A minimum of 2 Saturdays per month.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker dental practice management software.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow,
and follow-up care instructions efficiently.
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient care and office operations.
- Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices, including orthodontics and pediatrics, to enhance service quality.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting, preferably with pediatric or orthodontic patients.
- Proficiency in using Tracker.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral health conditions.
- Robust customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages.
