SENIOR CRIMINAL LITIGATION LAW CLERK

Full-time, permanent | $27-$35/ hour

PHAM LAW GROUP, a busy criminal defence firm, seeks an experienced litigation clerk to work directly with the principal lawyer on criminal trials and Charter applications. This is a substantive litigation support position, not a general administrative role.

Responsibilities

Review police reports, statements, notes, video and forensic evidence. Prepare accurate chronologies and witness summaries, identify inconsistencies, and draft precise missing-disclosure requests.

Assist with Charter applications, affidavits, briefs and factums. Conduct legal research, verify quotations and pinpoint citations, and organize exhibits.

Prepare trial books, transcripts, video summaries, cross-examination materials and filing-ready documents.

Manage assigned litigation tasks,



coordinate with support staff and ensure deadlines and follow-ups are completed.

Requirements

At least 5 years in criminal litigation or comparable litigation support. Equivalent experience considered.

Robust legal writing, research and proofreading skills. Proficiency with Word, PDF software and electronic file management.

Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines and deliver complete, accurate work without repeated reminders.

Saskatchewan court experience and familiarity with the Criminal Code, Charter and CanLII preferred.
