Server / Bartender – Full-Time & Part-Time

Hunger Street | Langley, BC

Hunger Street is looking for an energetic, friendly and experienced Server/Bartender to join our front-of-house team.

We are looking for someone who can provide excellent guest service, confidently handle a busy dining room, prepare drinks, and help create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for every guest.

Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Explain menu items and provide recommendations
- Prepare and serve cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages
- Maintain knowledge of the food and drink menu
- Upsell appetizers, drinks, cocktails and other menu items naturally
- Check on guests throughout their meal and handle requests promptly
- Process bills and payments accurately using the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas
- Restock bar supplies, glassware and service stations
- Follow responsible alcohol-service requirements
- Work closely with kitchen, bar and other front-of-house staff
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Help maintain a positive, energetic and professional restaurant workplace

What We’re Looking For




- Previous serving and/or bartending experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Friendly, confident and professional personality
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant
- Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy service
- Basic cocktail, beer, wine and liquor knowledge
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
- Evening, weekend and holiday availability
- Serving It Right certification required for employees serving alcohol in BC

Experience with Indian restaurants or knowledge of Indian cuisine is an asset but not required.
