Are you ready to work with a team that keeps our community safe and accessible during winter? Join Distinct Landscape Group as a Sidewalk Snow Removal Technician and help us keep sidewalks, walkways, and entrances clear and safe throughout the winter season!

We're looking for motivated, reliable, and hardworking individuals who don't mind the cold and are ready to get the job done when the snow falls! This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

- Operate snow blowers, sidewalk machines (Snow Rhino), and other snow removal equipment safely and efficiently.
- Hand shovel sidewalks, walkways, stairs, entrances, and other areas inaccessible to machinery.
- Load and apply salt and other ice management products as needed.
- Monitor, refill, and maintain salt bins at designated properties throughout the winter season.
- Ensure sidewalks, entrances, and pedestrian areas are thoroughly cleared and protected for use.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance.
- Monitor weather conditions and be available for shifts on short notice.
- Complete assigned properties and routes within required service timelines.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain high standards of workmanship.

Experience/Requirements

- Ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by weather conditions.
- Valid G2 or G driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract required.




- Ability to follow directions and work effectively and efficiently, both independently and within a team.
- Willingness and ability to work on short notice during snow events, including extended shifts when necessary.
- Physically capable of repetitive shoveling, lifting and carrying salt bags, prolonged walking, and operating snow removal equipment.
- Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in various winter weather conditions.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential.
- Must have warm clothing suitable for outdoor winter work (e.g., gloves, insulated boots, and appropriate outerwear).
- Previous snow removal or equipment operation experience is an asset, but training will be provided.
- Reliable transportation to and from work is required.

Job Types: Permanent, Seasonal Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
