Wage is dependent upon experience. This is a full-time seasonal position that will begin at the end of November/early December until the end of the ski season.
Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product selection, fitting, and technical questions.
- Conduct detailed product demos to showcase ski equipment features and benefits.
- Perform ski tuning, repairs, and maintenance to ensure equipment is safe and optimized for performance.
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing sales efficiently.
- Upsell accessories, apparel, and additional services to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays that highlight new products and seasonal promotions.
- Communicate effectively with customers , ensuring clear understanding of product features and sales options.
- Managing equipment rentals,
maintaining the fleet through cleaning and basic repairs, handling customer forms and inquiries.
- Working with customers (renter's) of all ages.
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales and rental experience, especially in skiing or snowboarding industry or technical sales, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical details clearly and confidently.
- Attention to detail is needed when equipment fitting, setting bindings and completing paperwork accurately.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and inventory management is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage product displays and maintain store cleanliness.
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods.
- The physical demands of this job can include standing, walking and kneeling for long periods of time with some occasional heavy lifting
