Sunshine Grounds Care is a family-owned grounds maintenance company established in 1987. We are hiring reliable, hardworking individuals to join our snow removal crews for the upcoming winter season. We have opportunities for both Snow Shoveling Labourers and Snow Shoveling Crew Leaders in the Etobicoke area. Positions Available

1. Snow Shoveling Crew Leader / Foreman

Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise a snow shoveling crew.
- Drive company vehicles and transport crew members between assigned properties.
- Coordinate snow clearing operations to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Operate snow blowers, stand-on sidewalk plows, and other snow removal equipment.
- Assist with manual snow shoveling when required.
- Communicate with dispatch and supervisors regarding job progress.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and safety procedures are followed.

Requirements:
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous snow removal experience required.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Robust communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a crew during demanding winter conditions.

Pay: $26–$30 per hour, depending on experience. 2. Snow Shoveling Labourer

Responsibilities

- Clear snow from sidewalks, walkways, stairs, entrances, and pedestrian areas.
- Operate hand shovels, snow blowers,



and other snow removal equipment as trained.
- Apply salt and ice-melting materials as directed.
- Assist crew leaders in completing assigned routes.
- Work safely and efficiently during winter weather conditions.

Requirements:
- Physically capable of performing repetitive snow shoveling and outdoor labour, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Previous snow removal experience is an asset but not required.
- No driver’s licence required.

Pay: $22–$26 per hour, depending on experience.General Employment Requirements

- Must be available 24/7 for snow events from November 1st to April 15th.
- Must be available for overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to respond to work calls on short notice.
- Willing to work extended shifts during major snowstorms.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in cold temperatures and challenging weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to designated reporting locations in Etobicoke is preferred.

Background Checks & Security Clearance Sunshine Grounds Care services a variety of commercial and institutional properties, including Toronto Police Service facilities and long-term care homes. Some properties require additional security screening, which may include:

- CPIC criminal record check.
- Vulnerable Sector Check, where applicable.
- Toronto Police Service security clearance.





These background checks are NOT required for all positions. Applicants who prefer not to complete background checks are still encouraged to apply, as we have other properties where these clearances are not required. Compensation & Benefits
