Revolution Music is looking for a creative, organized Social Media & Marketing Assistant who understands music and can help more people discover and choose our services.

This is a small, hands-on role: 2 hours per week at $25 per hour. We are looking for someone who can prioritize, create engaging content, and bring practical ideas for attracting new clients.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Working within the two-hour weekly schedule, help prioritize and carry out activities such as:

- Create and edit short videos for social media.
- Design eye-catching posts using Canva or a similar program.
- Write engaging captions with a clear purpose and call to action.
- Develop practical marketing ideas to reach potential clients.
- Create and share posts in relevant Facebook groups to promote our services and attract new clients, following each group’s posting rules.
- Help respond to enquiries and follow up with interested people.
- Track which content and activities generate enquiries and bookings.
- Provide a brief weekly report summarizing the work you completed.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- An understanding of music through playing, singing, teaching, studying, or other relevant experience.
- Confidence using social media and filming and editing short videos.
- Familiarity with Canva or similar design software.
- An understanding of marketing: who we are trying to reach, what matters to them, and how to encourage action.
- Clear communication, reliability, initiative,



and the ability to work independently.
- A willingness to learn our business and represent it professionally.

Previous experience managing another business's social media account is not required. Personal projects are welcome—we are interested in your creativity, judgment, and ability to put ideas into action.

TRAINING & FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES

Some training will be provided to help you learn our business and approach. As the company’s needs evolve, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities, including administrative support or music teaching, depending on your interests, skills, and mutual agreement. These are potential future opportunities; the current role focuses on social media, marketing, and attracting new clients.

HOURS, PAY & LOCATION

- Part-time: 2 hours per week.
- Pay: $25 CAD per hour.
- The position includes a two-month probationary period.
- Hybrid role based in Edmonton, Alberta.
- At least one in-person meeting per month in Edmonton is required.
- Some driving may be required to capture content or support local promotional activities.
