We are seeking a passionate and skilled Somali/Arab Cook to help start JAVA’s lunch and dinner selections. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic Somali and Arab dishes that delight our guests and uphold our high standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare traditional Somali and Arab dishes with precision, ensuring authentic flavors and presentation standards are met.
- Handle all aspects of food preparation, including chopping, marinating, seasoning, and assembling ingredients efficiently.
- Serve customers with enthusiasm, providing excellent food service that enhances their dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and ensure proper food handling practices are followed at all times.
- Assist in managing inventory levels, rotating stock, and ordering supplies as needed to keep the kitchen well-stocked.

Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or food industry setting.
- Strong knowledge of Somali and Arab cuisine, including traditional recipes and cooking techniques.
- Experience in serving customers in a quick-paced environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Kitchen experience that demonstrates proficiency in meal preparation and food industry operations.
