Staff Accountant SJ Chartered Professional Accountants - Mississauga, ON

Looking for CPA or graduate enrolled in CPA, to join our team as full-time Staff Accountant. Candidates must take pride in their work, have a customer-focused attitude and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Complete working papers and financial statements for NTRs and Review Engagements for small business clients
- Audit and Review engagement experience
- Prepare personal (T1) and corporate (T2) tax returns and ensure compliance with CRA
- Tax planning, HST preparation and reviewing/reconciling books
- Communication with clients – troubleshooting, responding to questions, concerns and requests

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of CaseWare and Profile or Taxprep
- Solid working knowledge of QuickBooks (both desktop and online)




- Proven financial accounting skills and problem solving required including: tax returns, NTRs, Review Engagements, Audit Engageemnts, account reconciliations, bookkeeping, HST, payroll, WSIB, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Ability to multi-task many priorities and meet deadlines
- Self-starter, eager to learn, can-do attitude

Conduct compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping and tax engagements

Education and Experience:

- Accounting Graduate, CPA designation, or be enrolled in the CPA program
- Accounting/Audit experience with CPA firm
