Camp KidsTown runs specialty day camps for children ages 3 to 12. We’re hiring Camp Counsellors for our Burlington campus: dependable, creative team members who keep campers safe, engaged and excited to come back every day.
Your role
As a Camp Counsellor, you’ll be responsible for a group of campers throughout the day. You’ll lead them through each week’s specialty program and work closely with fellow staff and camp leadership.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for an assigned group of campers, keeping their safety and well-being the top priority
- Lead themed workshops, games and hands-on activities that bring each week’s specialty camp to life
- Create an inclusive, positive environment where every camper feels welcome
- Follow camp policies and procedures, including safety,
sign-in/sign-out and behaviour guidelines
- Report any concerns or incidents to camp leadership promptly
- Work as part of the team on set-up, clean-up and daily camp routines
Qualifications
- Experience working with children
- Strong sense of responsibility and good judgement
- Energetic, positive and creative, with a willingness to get involved and have fun
- Transparent communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Reliable and punctual for the full summer season
