About the Opportunity

Easter Seals Newfoundland and Labrador is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to join our Board of Directors.

This volunteer opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to contribute their HR expertise, sound judgment, and strategic perspective to an organization supporting people with disabilities across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Board Director, you will contribute to the strategic leadership and governance of Easter Seals NL. Responsibilities include:

- Contributing to Board discussions, strategic planning, and organizational oversight.
- Providing an HR perspective on policies, organizational development, and workforce matters at the governance level.
- Supporting ethical leadership, good governance, and the organization’s long-term sustainability.
- Promoting inclusion, accessibility, and a positive organizational culture.
- Preparing for and participating in Board meetings and contributing to committee work as required.
- Upholding confidentiality and acting in the best interests of Easter Seals NL.

Experience and Qualifications We welcome interest from HR professionals with experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Human resources strategy and organizational development.
- Employment practices, policies, and workplace culture.
- Recruitment, retention, and talent development.
- Employee relations and performance management.
- Compensation,



benefits, or workforce planning.
- Employment legislation and regulatory compliance.
- Change management and organizational transformation.

Previous experience serving on a Board or committee, or in a senior leadership role, would be considered an asset. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will bring:
