We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Weld Shop Foreman to lead our welding operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily shop activities, coordinate welding projects, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all welding shop activities, ensuring efficient workflow and timely project completion
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of welders, inspectors, and support staff to achieve operational excellence
- Implement process improvements using lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste
- Monitor quality control standards throughout the welding process to meet or exceed specifications
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and applying best practices in manufacturing
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on welding operations or shop supervision
- Solid mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, assembly, and welding techniques
- Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement projects
- Knowledge of quality control standards within a manufacturing setting
- Prior leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced production environment
