We are seeking a motivated and diligent Welders Helper/Labourer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will support skilled welders by assisting with various fabrication and assembly tasks. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to the productive production of high-quality metal components.
This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced industrial environment while developing valuable skills in welding support, machining, and manufacturing processes.
Duties
- Assist welders with preparing materials, tools, and equipment for welding operations
- Support the setup and operation of plasma cutting table
- Help with loading, unloading, and organizing raw materials and finished products
- Use hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure parts meet specifications
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to assist with assembly and quality inspections
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by adhering to safety protocols and procedures
- Support machining processes on CNC programming tasks as needed
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of mechanical concepts, hand tools, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math calculations for measurements
- Familiarity with equipment such as cranes, forklifts, or HD plasma table is a plus but not required; training may be provided
- Strong attention to detail for quality inspection and ensuring parts meet specifications
- Willingness to learn new skills related to CNC programming and welding support
- Good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
- Prior experience in manufacturing or construction environments is advantageous but not mandatory
