Job Summary

Sushi Mura is seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic sushi dishes with precision and creativity, ensuring each plate meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean kitchen environment
- Supervise food preparation processes, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery during service hours
- Manage kitchen operations efficiently, including inventory control, ingredient freshness, and proper storage procedures
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings




- Uphold excellent food service standards by maintaining professionalism, cleanliness, and attention to detail at all times

Qualifications

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with a focus on sushi or Japanese cuisine
- Supervising experience or team management skills within a restaurant or food industry environment
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and guide kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
- Familiarity with restaurant management operations is preferred but not required
- Passion for hospitality, food industry trends, and delivering memorable dining experiences
