White Oak Woods Childcare Centre is currently accepting applications for On-Call Supply Educator position in all age programs, from qualified and motivated candidates. This position is on-call and not guaranteed hours.

What will you be doing:

As a Supply Staff, you will work side-by-side with other teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

- Collaborate with classroom teachers and assist in delivering a program that enhances children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
- Observe and assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents, guardians and supervisor
- Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
- Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
- Adhere to all centre policies and procedures
- Follow all guidelines according to Ministry of Education CCEYA and “how does learning happen” pedagogy
- Base pay based on experience

Qualifications

- Applicants must have a current Vulnerable Sector Check from the Regional police (within the last 6 months)
- Applicants must have a Current Standard CPR/ First Aid Certification
- Valuable standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators is preferred
- All supply staff must be available minimum 3 days per week

- Demonstrate skills working as a team and enjoy a team environment
- The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Fluent oral and written English language communication skills

This is a supply staff position and hours are not guaranteed. All shifts anywhere between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. Closed all Statutory Holidays.
