Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas with precision and attention to detail, ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation
- Operate pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to cook pizzas to perfection
- Follow established recipes and food safety guidelines to maintain high standards of quality and hygiene
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping ingredients, dough handling, and topping assembly
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment, adhering to sanitation standards
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences for guests by ensuring timely order preparation
Experience
- Proven experience as a pizza cook or in a similar food preparation role within a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Demonstrated ability to cook meals efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- Experience with meal preparation, especially pizza making, is highly preferred
- Familiarity with serving customers in a fast-paced restaurant setting is advantageous
- Kitchen experience involving food safety certifications or training is a plus
- Previous work in the food industry or restaurant experience that highlights your ability to thrive under pressure
