Duties
- Safely operate a 5-ton truck for local and regional freight deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, secure, and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery manifests and shipping paperwork
- Coordinate with dispatchers and warehouse staff to plan efficient routes and delivery schedules
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on the truck as needed to maintain optimal operation
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior, ensuring compliance with safety standards at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably operating trucks of similar size or heavier vehicles
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts or other loading machinery
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for transporting goods
- Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues quickly
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate delivery records
- Prior experience working with heavy equipment or in logistics environments is highly desirable

Pay: $17.50 per hour
