We are looking for an experienced Sr. Auditor to join a service-focused organization in Markham, Ontario on a Contract basis. This hybrid opportunity is well suited to someone who can step into an active audit environment, provide immediate support on key deliverables, and work effectively with minimal ramp-up time. The successful candidate will help strengthen financial oversight through thoughtful planning, detailed review, and a strong understanding of internal controls and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and support audit activities by assessing financial records, processes, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Review financial statements and related working papers to identify issues, clarify discrepancies, and ensure reporting quality.
- Evaluate internal control practices and highlight opportunities to reduce risk and improve accountability.
- Develop audit plans, determine priorities, and organize deliverables to meet established timelines.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to gather information, discuss findings, and advance audit objectives efficiently.
- Prepare clear audit observations, summaries, and recommendations for management review.
- Provide hands-on assistance to the team on ongoing assignments and help maintain momentum across active projects.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior auditing role, with the ability to contribute independently from the outset.
- Strong knowledge of audit methodology, review practices, and internal control evaluation.
- Solid understanding of financial statements and the ability to analyze supporting documentation in detail.
- Proven ability to plan work effectively, manage competing priorities,



and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and working with stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented judgment, analytical thinking, and a high level of accuracy in reviewing financial information.
- Ability to work successfully in a hybrid setting, with occasional in-office attendance in Markham, Ontario.
