Are you an organized, motivated land professional looking for an opportunity to contribute to large-scale, multi-year projects? If so, Scott Land & Lease has an opportunity for an In-House Surface Land Administrator to join our growing team and support ongoing project activities throughout British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

Scott Land & Lease works across a range of industries, including oil and gas, pipelines, renewable energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, transportation, utilities, and more. With over 34 years of experience providing professional land services, we take pride in delivering quality work, building strong client relationships, and supporting some of the industry’s most significant projects.

We are seeking a detail-oriented land professional with experience in surface land administration, land acquisition support, right-of-way documentation, or related project work. The successful candidate will work closely with client representatives, Land Agents, project teams, landowners, and other stakeholders to support land acquisition activities and ensure project records, agreements, and deliverables are maintained accurately and efficiently.

This is an opportunity to become an integral part of a client’s project team, contributing to long-term project delivery across Western Canada. The position is expected to be based primarily out of the client’s Calgary or Edmonton office, with remote work arrangements potentially considered for candidates located outside reasonable commuting distance.

Skills required for success in this role:

- Experience in surface land administration, land acquisition, right-of-way, or a related land services environment.
- Strong understanding of surface land processes, landowner documentation, land agreements, and project records.
- Experience supporting land acquisition activities, including right-of-way, easements, access agreements, temporary workspace, and other surface rights documentation.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and document management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to review, prepare, track, and maintain land agreements, correspondence, notices, consent documents, and supporting records.
- Experience maintaining land status reports, acquisition trackers, project databases, spreadsheets, and other project documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Land Agents, client representatives, landowners,

contractors, and internal project teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records across multiple project areas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, and the ability to learn client-specific systems and processes.
- Experience working on Canadian Energy Regulator (CER) projects considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- A professional, adaptable, and solutions-oriented approach to work, with a commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and quality.
- Experience supporting pipeline, oil and gas, utility, infrastructure, or other linear development projects is considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity with land management systems, mapping tools, survey plans, title documentation, and geographic information systems (GIS) is an asset.
- Knowledge of land acquisition and right-of-way processes in British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan is considered an asset.
- A relevant post-secondary education or industry training in land administration, surface land, business administration, or a related field is an asset.
- The ability to travel occasionally throughout Western Canada, as required by project needs, is considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

- Provide administrative and coordination support for surface land acquisition activities across British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
- Support Land Agents and project teams throughout the land acquisition process, from initial landowner contact and documentation through agreement execution and project closeout.
- Prepare, review, organize, and maintain land agreements, right-of-way documents, access agreements, correspondence, landowner information, and related project records.
- Track the status of land acquisition activities, outstanding agreements, landowner communications, required documentation, and project milestones.
- Maintain accurate land status reports, acquisition trackers, project databases, and supporting records to ensure project information remains current and accessible.
- Coordinate the collection, review, processing,

and distribution of documentation between Land Agents, client representatives, legal teams, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist with landowner and stakeholder communications, including preparing correspondence, coordinating follow-ups, and documenting interactions as required.
- Support the review and organization of title information, survey plans, legal descriptions, land parcels, and other property-related documentation.
- Monitor outstanding items and follow up with appropriate project personnel to support timely completion of land acquisition deliverables.
- Assist with document control, records management, reporting, and quality assurance to ensure project requirements and internal processes are followed.
- Work collaboratively with the client’s project team and Scott Land & Lease personnel to support efficient project execution and consistent service delivery.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling landowner information, agreements, negotiations, and other sensitive project documentation.
- Adapt to changing project priorities and administrative requirements throughout the lifecycle of long-term projects.
- Travel occasionally, if required, to support project activities, meetings, or coordination needs.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.

What we offer:

- The chance to work with an established surface land team and a respected client on significant, long-term projects.
- The ability to work alongside experienced Land Agents and industry professionals.
- Exposure to multi-year projects spanning several Western Canadian provinces.
- An opportunity to develop your knowledge of land acquisition, right-of-way, and project delivery processes.
- A collaborative environment that values professionalism, accountability, and quality service.
- Support for professional development and opportunities to expand your responsibilities as your experience grows.
- Competitive compensation.
- The opportunity to join a reputable, long-standing company with more than 30 years of experience across multiple industries.
