Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Painter / Spray Gun Operator to join a busy window and door manufacturing facility in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience using a spray gun and be comfortable working in a production environment while maintaining high-quality finishing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate spray guns to apply paint, coatings, and finishes to window and door components.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and ensuring proper adhesion.
- Mix and prepare paints and coatings according to specifications.
- Maintain consistent paint coverage, colour, and finish quality.
- Inspect finished products for runs, drips, uneven coverage, and other defects.
- Make adjustments to spray equipment to achieve the required finish.
- Clean and maintain spray guns, equipment,
and work areas.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and proper handling practices for paints and coatings.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Work effectively as part of a manufacturing/production team.
- Perform other general production duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating a spray gun is required.
- Industrial, manufacturing, automotive, cabinet, window, or door painting experience is an asset.
- Positive understanding of paint preparation and application techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
