Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, including mixing, shaping, and baking products to high-quality standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision and creativity to meet customer specifications
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures at all times
- Support the packaging and labeling of baked items for sale or delivery while maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness of the bakery area, including equipment, workstations, and storage spaces
- Follow all food safety regulations and ensure compliance with health standards during food preparation and handling
Skills
- Experience in cake decorating or pastry arts is highly desirable
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is a plus
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and baking techniques
- Excellent customer service abilities with a positive attitude
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced kitchen environment
