Western Fair District is looking for an energetic, friendly and customer-focused Guest Services Representative to join our Sports Centre team.

About the Role

As a Guest Services Representative, you will be one of the first points of contact for guests visiting the Sports Centre. You’ll provide friendly and helpful service, respond to questions, assist with bookings and transactions, and support the day-to-day operations of the facility.

What You'll Do

- Welcome and assist guests at the Sports Centre
- Respond to customer inquiries in person, by phone and email
- Provide information about bookings, pricing, policies, directions and facility services
- Book ice, meeting rooms and other facility spaces
- Process bookings and transactions accurately
- Handle cash and complete daily balancing procedures
- Assist with league and tournament coordination
- Respond to customer concerns and resolve or escalate issues as appropriate
- Maintain accurate records, files and related information
- Provide administrative support to Sports Centre management
- Assist with event setup and other special projects as needed




- Stay up to date on facility procedures, policies and services
- Perform other related duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

- Previous customer service experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, approachable and skilled manner
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system
- Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Previous experience with a multi-line telephone system is an asset
- Previous experience in a recreation, sports or facility environment is an asset

Availability

Flexibility to work varying shifts based on facility bookings, leagues, tournaments and events is important.

Pay: From $19.05 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
