Snow Removal Equipment Operators – Ottawa West, East & South Ends
Kanata Stoneworks Ltd. is hiring experienced, dependable equipment operators for our busy 2026/27 winter snow removal season.
We service shopping malls and commercial properties throughout Ottawa, with positions available in the west end, east end and south end. Join a hardworking crew keeping parking lots, sidewalks and entrances protected and accessible throughout the winter.
These are seasonal, weather-dependent, on-call positions. Applicants must be available 24/7 throughout the winter season, including overnight shifts, weekends and holidays. Long hours may be required during snowstorms and cleanup operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate assigned snow removal equipment safely and efficiently.
- Clear snow from commercial parking lots, roadways, sidewalks and entrances.
- Work carefully around parked vehicles, pedestrians, curbs and buildings.
- Complete pre-shift equipment checks and report damage or mechanical issues.
- Follow assigned routes and instructions from supervisors.
- Maintain reliable attendance and respond promptly to call-ins.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience operating the equipment you are applying for.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality and attention to safety.
- Comfortable working outdoors in challenging winter conditions.
- Reliable transportation to your assigned reporting location.
- Working cellphone for call-ins and crew communication.
- Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the position; a valid G licence is required for plow truck operators.
- Steel-toed safety boots.
