We are looking for a dependable and motivated 2nd Year Automotive Apprentice to join our team. This position is ideal for an apprentice who has gained foundational shop experience and is continuing to develop their technical skills under the guidance of a Journeyman Technician.
The successful candidate will be eager to learn, take direction well, and take pride in completing assigned tasks properly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services (oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks and top-ups)
- Perform fluid services (engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, differential and transmission services with supervision as needed)
- Replace brake pads and rotors; assist with calipers and other brake components
- Assist with suspension repairs (shocks, struts, sway bar links, and basic component replacement)
- Assist with engine repairs and drivetrain component removal
- Support diagnostic procedures as directed by a Journeyman Technician
- Perform inspections and report findings clearly and accurately
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow all shop safety procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- Registered 2nd Year Automotive Apprentice
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures
- Ability to perform maintenance and brake services with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn and develop diagnostic skills
- Must have own basic tools and toolbox
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable, punctual, and qualified attitude
- Strong work ethic and positive team mindset
- Takes pride in completing work correctly
