About the Opportunity

Inspired HR is working with a private client seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Gardener & Property Maintenance Specialist to oversee the ongoing care and maintenance of a residential property located in West Vancouver.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone with robust gardening and landscaping experience who takes pride in maintaining beautiful, well-kept outdoor spaces. The successful candidate will also be comfortable taking on a variety of general property maintenance and minor handyman tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently while taking initiative to identify and address maintenance needs around the property.

Key Responsibilities

Gardening & Landscaping

- Perform day-to-day gardening and property care
- Prune and trim trees, shrubs, hedges, and other plants
- Weed gardens and manage invasive plants
- Apply and maintain mulch as needed
- Provide ongoing care and maintenance for trees, shrubs, flowers, and garden areas
- Keep pathways, patios, driveways, and outdoor spaces clean, organized, and tidy
- Monitor the overall health and appearance of gardens and landscaping

Water Feature Maintenance

- Maintain and clean ponds, fountains, and other water features
- Monitor pumps, filters, water levels, and general operation
- Identify and address basic issues with water features and equipment
- Keep surrounding areas clean and well-maintained





Property & Exterior Maintenance

- Pressure wash patios, walkways, driveways, and other exterior surfaces
- Clean exterior windows and other glass surfaces
- Complete general outdoor cleaning and maintenance
- Assist with seasonal property preparation, including spring and fall clean-up

General Maintenance & Handyman Tasks

- Assist with minor repairs and general upkeep around the property
- Complete small handyman projects as needed
- Identify maintenance issues and bring them to the homeowner's attention
- Maintain, organize, and properly care for gardening and maintenance tools and equipment

Qualifications & Experience

- Previous professional experience in gardening, landscaping, groundskeeping, property maintenance, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of plants, pruning, trimming, weed control, and general garden care
- Experience maintaining trees, shrubs, gardens, and outdoor spaces
- Experience with water features, ponds, fountains, or similar systems is an asset
- Basic handyman and repair skills
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality of work
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently
- Physically capable of performing outdoor and hands-on work
- Ability to identify maintenance needs and proactively address issues
- Valid driver's license is an asset

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
