Scotia Proactive Cleaning Solutions is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Residential House Cleaner to join our growing professional cleaning team.

We provide high-quality residential and commercial cleaning services throughout Nova Scotia, specializing in regular house cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, and specialized cleaning services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional cleaning services in clients' homes while maintaining our company's high standards of cleanliness, professionalism, safety, and customer satisfaction.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, can follow instructions, work independently or as part of a team, and consistently deliver excellent results.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

General Residential Cleaning

- Perform regular, deep, move-in, and move-out cleaning services in residential properties.
- Clean and sanitize kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, and other residential spaces.
- Dust and wipe furniture, shelves, fixtures, countertops, and other accessible surfaces.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, upholstery, stairs, and hard-to-reach areas.
- Sweep, mop, and thoroughly clean different types of flooring.
- Clean mirrors, interior windows, window sills, frames, and tracks as assigned.
- Empty garbage bins and replace garbage bags.

Deep Cleaning and Specialized Tasks

- Remove accumulated dirt, dust, grease, soap scum, and grime from surfaces.
- Thoroughly clean baseboards, door frames, doors, light switches, and accessible trim.
- Scrub and sanitize bathtubs, showers, toilets, sinks, and bathroom fixtures.
- Clean kitchen cabinets, cupboard interiors, drawers, and shelving when included in the scheduled service.
- Clean stovetops, range hoods, backsplashes, and exterior kitchen appliances.
- Perform interior oven, refrigerator,



and other appliance cleaning when specifically assigned.
- Assist with detailed move-in/move-out cleaning and other specialized residential cleaning assignments.

Equipment and Safety

- Properly operate cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, scrubbers, and other professional cleaning tools.
- Use cleaning chemicals and disinfectants safely, following product instructions and WHMIS procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Report damaged equipment, supply shortages, safety concerns, or property damage to management.
- Follow company cleaning checklists, procedures, and quality-control standards.

Customer Service and Teamwork

- Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients, supervisors, and team members.
- Follow client-specific cleaning instructions and respect their homes, belongings, and privacy.
- Complete assigned cleaning tasks efficiently within scheduled appointment times.
- Work independently or collaboratively with other cleaners.
- Report any client concerns or additional service requests to the supervisor.
- Maintain punctuality, reliability, and a professional appearance.

Qualifications and Experience

- Previous experience in residential cleaning, housekeeping, hotel housekeeping, or professional cleaning is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, equipment, and safety procedures is an asset.




- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a cleaning team.
- Valuable time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; French language skills are considered an asset.
- Friendly, professional, and respectful attitude toward clients and colleagues.
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning instructions and complete assigned checklists.
- Reliable transportation or the ability to travel to assigned cleaning locations.
- Ability to perform physically demanding cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting cleaning equipment.
- Willingness to undergo a criminal background check, as required for working in clients' homes.
