We are seeking a motivated and dedicated 2/3 Year Apprentice Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This paid apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to develop your semi truck and trailer repair skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced mechanics, gaining valuable knowledge and practical experience in vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics. Responsibilities
- Assist senior mechanics with routine vehicle maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations, cvips etc
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform various mechanical tasks accurately and safely
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues and execute repairs effectively
- Support the assembly and disassembly of vehicle components during repair processes
- Conduct heavy lifting as needed to move parts or equipment safely within the workshop
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance mechanical knowledge and technical skills
Experience
- Previous experience or heavy duty repair exposure is preferred but not required
- Basic mechanical knowledge with an understanding of semi truck systems
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and schematics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy workshop setting
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and customers when needed
- Prior experience with maintenance tasks or mechanic work is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates
- Willingness to learn quickly, take direction, and develop technical expertise through hands-on training
