Job Summary

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Part-Time Barista to join our team at Fringe Coffee!

This position offers flexible, part-time hours, primarily during evenings, making it a great fit for someone looking to balance work with school, another job, or other commitments.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has a positive attitude, and takes pride in providing great customer service. Whether you have previous barista experience or are interested in learning, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

- Greet customers and provide friendly, welcoming, and attentive service.
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, and specialty drinks.
- Take customer orders and accurately process payments using our POS system.
- Assist with basic food preparation, including sandwiches, snacks, and other café menu items.
- Keep the coffee bar, food preparation areas, and seating spaces clean and organized.
- Follow proper food handling, hygiene, and food safety procedures.
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Assist with opening, closing, restocking, and general daily café duties.
- Work cooperatively with other team members to maintain a positive and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

- Previous barista, café,



or food service experience is an asset but not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Friendly, dependable, and comfortable interacting with customers.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash and electronic payments accurately.
- Willingness to learn drink preparation, food handling, and café procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude, good work ethic, and attention to detail.

Schedule & Availability

- Part-time position with versatile scheduling.
- Shifts will typically be in the evenings.
- Availability for occasional daytime or weekend shifts is an asset.
- Ideal for students or individuals looking for additional part-time work.
