Iconic Beauty Aesthetics is looking for an experienced Medical Esthetician / Advanced Laser Technician to join our nurse-led clinic in Red Deer.

This is a temporary maternity-leave coverage position. Permanent employment may be considered based on future clinic needs and mutual agreement, but is not guaranteed.

THE ROLE

You will conduct consultations, deliver skin and laser treatments within your verified training and competencies, and help patients build appropriate, ongoing care plans.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting thorough skin assessments, recognizing contraindications, and developing individualized treatment recommendations.
- Performing treatments safely within established protocols and recognizing when additional clinical guidance is needed.
- Educating patients about treatment expectations, preparation, aftercare, and professional skincare.
- Maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation and supporting follow-up, appropriate rebooking, and continuity of care.
- Recommending skincare, treatment programs, and memberships based on individual patient needs.
- Collaborating with the clinical and patient care teams while maintaining treatment-room standards, equipment care, infection-prevention procedures, and patient confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

- Minimum two years of hands-on experience in medical aesthetics or advanced skin treatments.
- Demonstrated practical experience performing laser or advanced energy-based treatments.
- Formal education or recognized training in medical aesthetics, laser technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of skin physiology, treatment indications, contraindications, and safety.
- Experience conducting patient consultations and developing treatment plans.
- Strong communication, clinical documentation, organizational skills, and professional judgment.
- Ability to work independently within established protocols and recognize when additional clinical guidance is required.

Preferred:

- Three to five or more years of experience in a medical aesthetics, dermatology, or advanced skin clinic.
- Experience with Fotona, IPL, RF microneedling, or advanced skin rejuvenation.




- Experience with VISIA skin analysis and professional skincare recommendations.
- Familiarity with Zenoti or comparable practice-management software.
- Experience managing ongoing treatment plans and long-term patient relationships.

You do not need experience with every technology listed. We value demonstrated competency, professionalism, accountability, and a willingness to keep learning.

COMPENSATION AND EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

Hourly compensation: $28–$38 per hour, negotiated based on demonstrated clinical competencies, qualifications, and relevant experience.

Commission: 10% on services performed and retail products sold, including services and products purchased through our Beauty Bank membership program. Commission is earned upon eligible service delivery or product sale, in accordance with Iconic’s commission policy.

Paid training: Employer-paid training on Iconic’s treatment technologies and clinical protocols.

Schedule: Full-time preferred, with approximately 24–40 hours per week anticipated. Qualified part-time applicants will also be considered.

Employment type: Temporary maternity-leave coverage. Any permanent opportunity would depend on future clinic needs and mutual agreement and is not guaranteed.

Location: Red Deer, Alberta—in person.
