We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our client in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Long-term Contract basis. This fully in-office role offers the opportunity to contribute to core accounting operations in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment while supporting a timely month-end close and reliable financial reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with finance colleagues and leadership, bringing strong technical accounting skills, sound judgement, and a collaborative approach to day-to-day responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

- Learn the organization’s accounting workflows and apply established procedures within Oracle Fusion to support accurate financial processing.
- Manage key month-end activities, including preparing journal entries, completing reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger within tight reporting timelines.
- Produce financial reports for local leadership and support the preparation of information required by international stakeholders.
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and working papers to assist with the annual external audit process.
- Contribute to accounting activities across multiple entities, including work in a multi-currency setting with varying transaction volumes.
- Partner with the broader finance team to strengthen reporting accuracy and provide coverage or assistance when priorities shift.
- Support future budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives, including enhancements related to Oracle optimization.
- 3-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a senior-level or intermediate-to-senior accounting capacity.




- Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of bank and balance sheet reconciliations, with the ability to identify and resolve issues independently.
- Proficiency with Oracle or a comparable ERP system, along with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience preparing audit support materials and working effectively with external auditors.
- Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes is considered an asset.
- Explicit communication skills, a cooperative work style, and a willingness to support the team as needed.
- An accounting designation or progress toward one is considered an asset.
