BGC Wolf Creek is seeking a Casual Program Assistant for our Ponoka location. This position will start as soon as possible and continue for the duration of the school year. There is also possibility of continuing the position into the summer.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 16 years of age
- Transparent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification
- Previous experience working with children is preferred
- Minimum Level 1 Childcare Certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months through online course)

Primary Responsibilities:

- Engage with children in a supportive and nurturing manner
- Supervise and interact with children during both in-program activities and field trips, such as swimming, bowling, laser tag, etc.,




- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of facilities
- Demonstrate a proactive, appropriate and positive approach to behaviour management issues and conflict resolution situations.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations.

Schedule

- Monday to Friday 2:45PM-5:00PM (can negotiate start time for high school student)
- PD Days
- As Needed

Renumeration

- 15.50/hour

Government top up (in addition to hourly rate) for those that have Level 1-3 Child Care Certification.

Pay: $15.50 per hour
