TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for an ESTIMATOR for an opportunity in the greater Edmonton area to work in an operating plant environment.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced, multi-disciplinary estimator who thrives in an industrial operations environment. The successful candidate will support both brownfield and greenfield projects, providing estimating expertise across multiple disciplines while collaborating with project teams to develop accurate budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts.

You will be responsible for:

· Responsible for project estimates with high proficiency in all areas (i.e. Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical) within the operating facility, for brownfield and greenfield projects

· Developing, approving and presenting estimate plans, budgets and schedules

· Reviewing, approving and issuing recommended contingency rates and escalation rates to be presented to the project team

· Analyzing estimating data and correlating to other projects and standards

· Maintaining requirements of the estimate and anticipating overlaps and gaps in costing

· Ensuring that internal reviews are provided in a timely manner

· Reviewing and providing guidance in the preparation of proposal cash flow models and working capital analysis

· Reviewing and critiquing designs and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggesting alternatives when required

· Participating in risk discussions and associated contingency recommendations

Must have:

· Technical college diploma and/or engineering degree.

· 15+ years of estimating experience,



preferably supporting large industrial projects within operations environments such as chemical, oil and gas, or mining.

· Multi-disciplinary estimating experience across civil, mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and electrical scopes.

· AACE estimating certification and/or current membership with AACE International.

· Experience with estimating software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

· Ability to prepare, write, and present estimate plans and basis documents.

· Knowledge of applicable industry and regulatory codes, standards, and practices.

· Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have:

· SAP experience.

· Previous experience working in an operating plant environment.

· Maintenance and industrial project controls experience.
