Bar Bijou is an intimate cocktail bar in downtown Collingwood built around excellent drinks, warm hospitality and a room that feels different from anywhere else in town.
We're looking for an experienced bartender who knows their craft, enjoys looking after people and wants to take real ownership of the guest experience.
The Role
At Bijou, the bartender is at the centre of the guest experience. You'll craft consistent, well-executed cocktails, guide guests through the menu, and deliver attentive hospitality that keeps them coming back.
You'll take ownership of bar prep, stocking, cleanliness and organization while maintaining quality through busy services and creating a welcoming atmosphere during quieter shifts. You must be comfortable working independently on solo shifts as well as alongside a team.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their craft and wants to help build a great bar. Availability to work weeknight and weekend shifts, Wednesday through Saturday, is required.
What You Bring
- 1+ years of bartending experience
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits and proper bar technique
- Genuine interest in cocktails and hospitality
- Confident, engaging guest presence
- Fast, organized and composed during busy service
- High standards for cleanliness, presentation and consistency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays
- Smart Serve certification
