Registered Psychotherapist / Registered Social Worker

Mind Body Wellness & Massage Therapy | Ajax, Ontario

Mind Body Wellness & Massage Therapy is looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker to join our growing integrative healthcare team.

We are a multidisciplinary clinic that believes in caring for the whole person and recognizing the relationship between physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

Our team includes Massage Therapy, Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Naturopathic Medicine, Acupuncture and Psychotherapy. Each practitioner works independently within their professional scope while also having the opportunity to collaborate with other members of the healthcare team when appropriate.

We are looking for a therapist who values thoughtful, individualized care and would enjoy being part of a warm, professional and collaborative clinical environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide individual psychotherapy within their professional scope of practice while independently managing their clinical caseload.

We are particularly interested in someone who understands that concerns such as stress, anxiety, chronic pain, grief, relationships, life transitions and changes in physical health can have both psychological and physical dimensions.

Collaboration with other practitioners is encouraged when appropriate and with patient consent, while each practitioner maintains professional autonomy within their respective discipline.

Qualifications

- Registered and in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
- Professional liability insurance
- Appropriate education and clinical training for independent psychotherapy practice
- Strong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of professional boundaries, confidentiality, consent and regulatory responsibilities
- Experience working with adults across a range of mental health and life concerns
- Experience or additional training in trauma informed care, anxiety, stress, grief, relationships, chronic pain or life transitions is an asset




- Experience with faith integrated psychotherapy and supporting clients who wish to incorporate their Christian beliefs and values into therapy would be considered an asset
