We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Traffic Control Person to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians around construction sites, paving projects, and heavy equipment zones. This vital role involves managing traffic flow, setting up safety signage, and assisting workers and drivers to maintain a secure work workplace. Responsibilities

- Direct traffic at construction or paving sites to prevent accidents and ensure smooth vehicle movement
- Set up and maintain safety signage, barriers, cones, and flagging devices according to safety standards
- Communicate clearly with drivers, construction crews, and supervisors to coordinate vehicle movements
- Monitor the work zone for hazards or unsafe behaviors and report issues promptly
- Assist with heavy equipment operation when trained and authorized, including guiding machinery or vehicles as needed




- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies throughout the worksite
- Maintain accurate logs of daily traffic control activities and report incidents or concerns to supervisors

Qualifications

- Prior experience in traffic control, construction, or related outdoor roles is preferred
- Knowledge of traffic control procedures, safety signage, and flagging techniques
- Ability to operate basic heavy equipment or assist with paving tasks is a plus
- Strong communication skills for clear instructions and safety coordination
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, or perform duties outdoors for extended periods
- Valid certifications in traffic control flagging or related safety training are advantageous but not mandatory
- Construction experience is beneficial for understanding site operations and safety protocols

Pay: $18.25-$31.08 per hour
