Multi-site retail | Distribution Centres | Low-voltage infrastructure

Unity Connected Solutions is a full-service communications company providing consulting, design, implementation and support for business communication solutions. We are Driven by Customers, Powered by Trust.

We’re looking for a hands-on, highly organized Project Manager to lead structured cabling projects for a major Canadian retail customer, across a large network of retail locations and distribution centres. This is a multi-site rollout role where planning, coordination and follow-through matter: you’ll keep projects moving, align field teams and subcontractors, manage site readiness and resolve issues before they affect delivery.

The ideal candidate understands low-voltage cabling work in the field and knows how to turn a repeatable scope into a well-managed rollout across multiple locations. Experience supporting large retail chains, warehouse or distribution-centre environments, or other multi-site programs would be a solid asset.

What You’ll Do:

Own projects from kickoff to closeout — Plan and manage multiple structured cabling and low-voltage installations across retail stores and distribution centres, keeping scope, schedule, quality and customer expectations aligned.

Coordinate multi-site rollouts — Build practical schedules for concurrent site deployments, track milestones and dependencies, and adjust plans quickly as priorities or site conditions change.

Keep sites ready for work — Coordinate site access, surveys, drawings, permits or site requirements as applicable, after-hours work, material deliveries, technician assignments and subcontractor availability.

Lead communication — Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for the customer, site contacts, general contractors, field technicians, subcontractors and Unity’s internal teams.

Manage scope, cost and change — Track labour, materials, budgets and progress; validate estimates against site conditions; identify out-of-scope work and communicate change requirements early.

Protect quality and closeout — Confirm work aligns with drawings, scope, customer standards and applicable cabling requirements; coordinate testing, certification, deficiency resolution and closeout documentation.

Solve problems early — Anticipate risks, troubleshoot coordination and basic cabling issues, escalate critical blockers and keep work moving without sacrificing safety or quality.

Keep reporting clear and useful — Maintain accurate project records and provide concise updates on progress, risks, schedule, costs, open items and next steps.

What You’ll Bring:

Experience managing structured cabling, low-voltage, telecommunications or similar field-installation projects.

Experience coordinating work across multiple sites; retail, warehouse or distribution-centre rollouts are especially relevant.

A practical understanding of cabling installation, site surveys, drawings, testing and project closeout.

Strong scheduling and coordination skills, with the ability to manage several active sites and competing deadlines at once.

Confidence working with customers, field technicians, subcontractors and general contractors.

Good commercial awareness: able to track labour and materials, monitor budgets, recognize scope changes and raise issues promptly.

Clear written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Comfort with project schedules, status reporting and common project-management tools.

Why Join Unity?

Join a customer-focused team delivering practical technology solutions for a major retail environment. You’ll have a visible role in coordinating complex, multi-location work and helping deliver consistent results across a broad site network.

If you know low-voltage cabling, enjoy bringing order to busy multi-site projects, and take pride in keeping customers and field teams aligned, we’d like to hear from you.
